Dr. Dan’s background
Dr. Brunkhorst is a Southern Illinois native, raised in Nashville, IL. He completed his undergraduate studies at Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL, where he also competed on the men’s basketball team. A serious injury during his junior year — and the rehabilitation process that followed — sparked his interest in chiropractic care and soft tissue rehabilitation.
He enrolled at Logan College of Chiropractic, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and his Doctorate in Chiropractic. During his clinical training, Dr. Dan developed a deep focus on orthopedic rehabilitation and the treatment of soft tissue injuries — the foundation of Metro East Injury Centers today. As a senior intern, he received the Health Center Achievement Award for his contributions during his clinic internship.
Over 15 years of practice treating injury patients in Metro East Illinois has reinforced one principle: no two patients are alike, and every care plan needs to reflect that. Dr. Dan and his team provide individualized treatment for every patient — from the initial evaluation through full recovery.
